Dear Alumnus

Let me express my sincere thanks to all our alumni for accepting the printed card from my office though without affixing needed postal stamp. I sincerely regret for the mistake that happened. At the time of sending the post card, frankly, I didn’t know that for printed cards one has to affix stamp worth Rs.5.

A meeting of the members of Alumni was held on 10th May, 2008 during lunch break of our one day alumni workshop on “e-tuition programme”. The following decisions were taken at the meeting.

1. Daily tuition programme is to be launched with the help of the current batch of students. Principal may workout the details in consultation with members of staff and students after the reopening of the college.
2. ‘E- Tuition training may be organized for interested students with the help of experts from the field. If possible an e-tuition platform may be launched by the institution.
3. Annually a minimum of ten interest free loans the amount not exceeding Rs.5000.00each are to be offered to deserving, unemployed, financially weak alumni applicants from the immediately passed out batch of the college. Principal is entrusted to work out the details of eligibility criteria and mode of repayment of loan amount. Also decided to make this available from 2008 onwards.

I have glad news to share with you. Our institution is selected by IGNOU as one of their partner institutions. This achievement has far reaching implications. We are planning to offer a number of ignou courses. Very soon, if possible, this year itself we may offer IGNOU- MA (Education) which is recognized by NCTE as a qualification for the training college lecturers instead of M.Ed degree. Members of the Alumni will get preference in admission.
